You notice he's in the room because of the noise. Like the screeching of a cog trying to speak. It may take you a couple of minutes, but you’ll end up realising that it is his voice. Then, in another couple of minutes, you will start wondering if it’s really a he or more of an it.
The Relic is a mercenary and member of the Company of the Devil Fish. His friends call him “Mr. Trinkets”. Those who are not his friends refrain from calling him at all.
A mostly inorganic being, the Relic can look like an average humanoid if covered in a suit large enough to hold his irregular shape. As he undresses, however, you will see the sound horn of a gramophone, the skull floating in a blueish liquid, the single skeletal finger, the clanking mechanism, the mummified body, the string of dark pearls, the ebony cross, the red sand falling in reverse, this, that, those, and the whole chaotic compound that makes the Relic what he is.
Most of what forms him is soaked into some kind of magic.
He knows almost nothing of himself, but is hunger of knowledge and truth.
This wonderfully enigmatic character is inspired by the gothic adventures and worlds imagined by Mike Mignola. All of the merit for the incredibly inspired concept goes to my player, Bart. I just took some time to write it down.
Hi Bart!
